Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in school psychology required
- At least two years of experience as a school psychologist intern or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid state certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong understanding of psychoeducational evaluation, behavioral analysis, and mental health interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams and families
- Comfortable using computers and technology for assessments, reporting, and virtual collaboration (if virtual)
- Adept at crisis intervention, in-service training, and multidisciplinary team participation
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations, administer tests, and prepare detailed reports
- Deliver individual and group counseling services to students
- Participate in IEP development and school assessment teams
- Communicate assessment outcomes to educators and families, recommending strategies for academic and social success
- Provide crisis management programs and respond to emergency situations as needed
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and social service professionals to support student wellbeing
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, innovations, and practices
- Ensure all documentation and compliance with applicable laws and policies
