Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology (or closely related field)
- At least two years of experience as a School Psychologist intern or equivalent
- Valid state certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with a variety of audiences
- Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments and preparing comprehensive reports
- Ability to utilize office equipment, including computers and phones
- Physical capability to perform duties in a school setting and manage related equipment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological, behavioral, and educational evaluations
- Score assessments, analyze documentation, and compile detailed reports
- Share evaluation results with parents and teachers, facilitating individualized supports
- Offer individual and small group counseling to address student mental health needs
- Collaborate actively with educators, administrative staff, families, and outside agencies
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams, contribute to IEP development, and manage crisis interventions
- Stay abreast of new trends, laws, and practices within the field of school psychology
- Complete necessary documentation for Medicaid reimbursement and internal use
