Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology required.
- At least two years of experience as a school psychologist intern or equivalent.
- State certification as a School Psychologist.
- Demonstrated competence in conducting psychoeducational evaluations, interpreting data, and preparing thorough reports.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information to staff, parents, and students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, administrators, and external agencies.
- Capable of supporting students through counseling and crisis intervention.
- Proficient with technology for assessments, reporting, and virtual collaboration where applicable.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive individual evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services.
- Observe students, analyze behavioral and academic data, and collaborate on intervention strategies.
- Deliver mental health services through individual and group counseling.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including IEP development and crisis management planning.
- Serve as a consultant to teachers, parents, and staff; provide recommendations to enhance student well-being.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare Medicaid reimbursement forms, and manage comprehensive reports.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and remain current with industry best practices and legislation.
