You’ll collaborate closely with a fellow school psychologist, creating a supportive environment in which your expertise and insight will be highly valued.
What will help you thrive in this role:
- Current ADE certification as a school psychologist (or eligibility to obtain it)
- Experience working in school settings with diverse caseloads, preferably including special education
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
- Ability to collaborate well with educators, administrators, parents, and other service providers
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet ever-changing student needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and record-keeping abilities
- Eagerness to travel or relocate as needed to accept this assignment
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting psycho-educational evaluations and re-evaluations, interpreting data, and writing comprehensive reports
- Supporting IEP development through participation in meetings and contributing expert input
- Providing counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services as needed
- Designing and implementing effective interventions for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Promoting positive learning environments and supporting student success across the district
