This contract opportunity will allow you to make a meaningful impact across multiple schools—all within a short drive around the Emporia area. This role is based onsite, serving primarily Emporia students with the possibility of supporting neighboring districts no more than 20 minutes away. The position runs from August 20, 2026, through May 20, 2027, offering a comprehensive and rewarding school-year experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Kansas School Psychologist license required
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in an educational or school-based setting
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Flexibility to travel between assigned schools within a short radius
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for K-12 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ academic and behavioral success
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support as needed
- Participate in intervention teams, RTI/MTSS meetings, and multi-disciplinary evaluations
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services and ongoing student progress
