Qualifications and experience desired:
- Active Connecticut Educator Certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience in school-based psychological services
- Strong understanding of special education laws and processes
- Ability to conduct individual, group, and crisis interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological tests and behavioral assessments
- Developing and monitoring student support plans in accordance with IEPs and 504s
- Providing counseling to students, both individually and in small groups
- Advising staff and parents regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
