Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current, valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of educational testing, data interpretation, and writing assessment reports
- Ability to conduct functional behavior assessments, and design and monitor intervention plans
- Compassionate communicator, skilled in building rapport with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and comprehensive assessments for students referred for academic and behavioral concerns
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, RTI, and 504 meetings, providing expertise in interpretation of evaluation data
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention strategies
- Support social-emotional learning by offering direct counseling, group interventions, and crisis response when needed
- Maintain accurate, timely records and clear documentation of services rendered
- Serve as an advocate for students’ overall wellbeing, especially those facing learning or adjustment challenges
