Bring your expertise to an impactful contract opportunity working across multiple PK-12 campuses as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. In this dynamic, part-time role (29 hours per week, with hybrid flexibility considered), you’ll provide critical support to students as part of a multidisciplinary team. The position spans several schools and will commence with professional development days starting July 27th, leading directly into the school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychoeducational assessments and preparing comprehensive, timely written reports
- Explaining assessment results thoughtfully to parents, teachers, and administrators
- Collaborating closely with families, educators, and related service providers on educational and behavioral interventions
- Maintaining case records, following strict program accountability and confidentiality guidelines
- Supporting eligibility decisions and the development of individualized programs for students
- Participating in professional development with school staff and parents
- Referring students and families to community resources as needed
- Upholding compliance with IDEA and district processes for special education
Qualifications sought:
- Current, valid Louisiana DOE School Psychology certification
- Experience with administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychoeducational assessments
- Proficiency in preparing detailed evaluation reports and meeting stringent deadlines
- Deep understanding of special education law, multidisciplinary team functioning, and eligibility criteria
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience working within schools with students K-12
- Bilingual abilities are a welcome asset
- Ability to clear the required background check and district fingerprinting
