Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify students’ needs and provide clear, timely written reports.
- Offer expertise and referrals to children, families, and staff regarding community and educational resources.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, principals, and district staff to implement strategies tailored to student success.
- Facilitate and interpret assessment processes for a variety of stakeholders including families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for ongoing services and compliance.
- Participate in professional development and in-service training opportunities.
- Help plan individualized interventions and educational programs based on thorough assessment data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Louisiana DOE certification in School Psychology.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting assessment data, preparing detailed evaluation reports, and complying with IDEA guidelines.
- Knowledge of special education eligibility and collaborative problem-solving within school teams.
- Strong communication skills for sharing results with families and professionals.
- Highly organized, attentive to evaluation deadlines and privacy requirements.
- Bilingual candidates welcomed!
- Ability to work effectively with school support staff and administrators.
- District background check/fingerprinting required.
