- Strong knowledge of special education law and Individualized Education Program (IEP) process
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and consultation skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents from diverse backgrounds
Essential Responsibilities:
- Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, behavioral, and academic assessments for K–12 students
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Provide direct and indirect interventions to support academic achievement, mental wellness, and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop strategies that address learning and behavioral challenges
- Offer consultation services to faculty, parents, and administration regarding individual student needs
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives such as crisis intervention, behavioral support plans, and positive behavior interventions
