School Psychologist | Denver, Colorado
Step into an impactful, full-time contract opportunity working as a School Psychologist supporting students from early childhood through high school in the Denver area. This onsite role involves diverse assignments across different campuses, offering the chance to truly make a difference in students’ academic, social, behavioral, and emotional growth.
You’ll deliver both direct and consultative services within special education and general education settings, from conducting group and individual counseling aligned with IEP mental health goals, to collaborating with teachers, families, and outside providers. Each assignment is thoughtfully matched on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring a dynamic and varied experience throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree, Specialist’s Degree, or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Previous experience in a school-based position
- Strong assessment, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills
- Adept at supporting students from diverse backgrounds
- Proficient with crisis and risk assessment, as well as Functional Behavioral Assessments
- Must complete a background check and district fingerprinting
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide group and individual counseling; develop and monitor IEP goals
- Complete comprehensive assessments and write detailed evaluation reports
- Support crisis management efforts, including risk assessments and intervention planning
- Participate in IEP meetings, behavioral health team meetings, and multidisciplinary team activities
- Consult with staff, parents, and outside agencies; coordinate community resources
- Lead professional development and psychoeducation efforts for staff and families
