School Psychologist - Denver, Colorado

Step into a key role supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional success as a School Psychologist on a full-time contract, serving schools in the Denver area. This valuable position works closely with K–12 students in two assigned locations and plays an essential part in shaping positive learning experiences. Assignments will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis, and may span early childhood through high school.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 3 years of prior school-based psychologist experience required
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Valid CDE Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
- Excellent assessment, oral and written communication skills
- Strong collaborative approach with staff, students, and families
- Calm, effective crisis management and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in current computer technology and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling to students as outlined in IEPs
- Provide mental health interventions in both special education and general education settings
- Communicate with outside service providers, teachers, and families to coordinate student support
- Complete and document cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive skills assessments
- Lead crisis management efforts, including assessing and responding to student risks and emergencies
- Develop and monitor IEP goals, Functional Behavioral Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, MTSS teams, and ongoing professional development sessions
- Offer psychoeducation and resources to staff, students, and families
- Contribute to a positive school climate through staff training and student support initiatives
