School Psychologist - Denver, CO

This contract position is designed to provide crucial leave coverage within local schools, offering a dynamic schedule and the chance to make a real difference in students’ lives across a variety of grade levels.
You will work onsite in a collaborative, student-focused environment, providing both individual and group counseling services and developing tailored interventions to support students’ academic and emotional success. Each assignment varies—options include serving in middle schools, elementary campuses, or P-8 programs with full or part-time coverage available depending on current needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License with School Psychology endorsement
- Previous experience in a school-based setting
- Expertise in student assessment, including cognitive, behavioral, and adaptive skills
- Strong crisis management, communication, and collaborative teaming skills
- Proficiency in current computer technology
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct mental health services per IEPs, including counseling and classroom interventions
- Provide written documentation such as progress reports, service logs, and evaluation reports
- Complete functional assessments and collaborate on behavioral intervention plans
- Participate in critical meetings: IEP planning, behavioral health forums, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Respond promptly to crisis situations, conduct risk/threat assessments, and help implement safety plans
- Engage families, teachers, and outside agencies to support students’ adjustment and well-being
- Offer psychoeducation, academic/behavior consultation, and facilitate community resource connections
