Requirements and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school-based psychologist role
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Valid CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement for School Psychology
- Proficiency in cognitive, social, behavioral, and adaptive assessment
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities
- Collaborative approach to working with families, teachers, administration, and community partners
- Calm, effective crisis response and critical thinking skills
- Strong computer technology and documentation skills
- Must complete district background check and fingerprinting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students with IEP mental health goals
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to address academic, social/emotional, and behavioral needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create detailed evaluation reports
- Collaborate in crisis management, including risk and threat assessments, and development of safety plans
- Engage actively in IEP planning, team meetings, and professional development sessions
- Deliver psychoeducation, behavioral consultations, and community resource coordination
- Work with diverse student populations and maintain detailed service records in compliance with school and district requirements
