An exciting contract opportunity is available for experienced School Psychologists in the Denver area, offering flexible leave coverage assignments across varying school settings and age groups. This position is strictly onsite and will engage you in direct service for special education students, mental health interventions, crisis management, IEP assessments, and collaborative meetings.
Choose from multiple short-term coverage opportunities at different school sites with varying start and end dates, and caseloads that may span elementary to middle school:
- Aurora Hills MS transitioning to Coal Creek P-8 (full-time, starts now until December, possibility of extension)
- Crawford ES (0.7 FTE until December)
- Dartmouth ES (0.8 FTE through end of school year)
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Current Special Service Provider License (CDE endorsement in School Psychology)
- Previous experience providing psychological services in a school setting
- Strong command of student assessment, report writing, and intervention planning
- Proficient oral and written communication and technology skills
- Collaborative, solution-focused approach with students, staff, and families
- Calm, clear-headed responses in crisis/emergency situations
- Efficient multitasking and priority management
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver group and individual counseling as outlined by IEPs
- Conduct cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral assessments; write evaluation reports
- Complete progress monitoring and service documentation
- Implement or support crisis and risk assessments, safety planning, and classroom support
- Attend and contribute to IEP, behavioral health, and team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies
- Develop Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans
- Provide psychoeducation, consultation, and community resource coordination
