Step into a dynamic, full-time contract opportunity supporting students as a School Psychologist at a dual language school near Des Plaines, IL. This on-site role begins in August and continues through June, with a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 am–3:45 pm, and Wednesdays from 8:00 am–4:30 pm. Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (Illinois PEL with School Psychologist endorsement)
- Experience working within school settings, preferably dual language or bilingual environments
- Strong facilitation skills for team meetings and interventions
- Professional fluency in Spanish a significant plus
- Deep understanding of multi-tier systems of support (MTSS)
- Capacity for clear, compassionate communication with families and staff
Core Responsibilities:
- Facilitate MTSS data meetings to drive academic and behavioral supports
- Serve as LEA representative during IEP meetings
- Act as primary contact for parents during Initial Evaluations
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for student needs
- Participate on student response teams, responding promptly to student crises
- Perform risk assessments as situations require
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support student well-being and success
