School Psychologist
A school district in the Dover area is looking to add a compassionate and solutions-focused School Psychologist to its student support team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with students, educators, and families to promote student growth, well-being, and academic achievement.
We are searching for someone who values teamwork, communication, and proactive support strategies while helping students overcome barriers to learning.
Position Overview
The School Psychologist will provide evaluation services, consultation, and behavioral support for students across multiple grade levels. This role involves working closely with special education staff, classroom teachers, and administrators to develop individualized plans and interventions that support student success.
Key Duties
✔ Conduct psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
✔ Interpret testing data and present findings during meetings
✔ Assist with IEP development and eligibility determinations
✔ Collaborate with school staff on intervention planning and classroom strategies
✔ Support social-emotional and behavioral student needs
✔ Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
✔ Help promote positive school climate and student wellness initiatives
✔ Maintain compliant and organized student records
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree, Ed.S., or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Valid Delaware licensure/certification or ability to obtain licensure
- Strong understanding of special education guidelines and assessment practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Prior experience in a school setting is a plus
