School Psychologist | Durham, North Carolina
In this dynamic contract opportunity located near Durham, NC, you’ll contribute to the success and well-being of students in grades 7–12 as a full-time school psychologist. Collaborate with dedicated educators and passionate staff to provide vital assessment and support services, making a difference in the academic and personal growth of adolescents.
Key Qualifications & Expertise:
- Current School Psychologist credential or license (or eligibility for credential in North Carolina)
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Demonstrated experience with psycho-educational testing, evaluations, and report writing
- Knowledge of behavioral and academic interventions for middle and high school students
- Familiarity with IEP processes and best practices in special education
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced school setting
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students in grades 7–12, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques
- Interpret evaluation findings and make recommendations to support student learning and success
- Work closely with special education teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and families regarding academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
- Participate actively in RTI and MTSS processes to help identify and support students’ unique needs
- Maintain detailed documentation and complete reports in compliance with school and state requirements
This is a full-time role, typically 37.5 hours each week, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the school environment and cultivate meaningful connections with students and staff.
