School Psychologist in East Hartford, CT

This is a full-time, contract opportunity offering 35 hours per week for the entire academic year.
Your expertise will be pivotal in helping high schoolers navigate challenges and celebrate achievements, all while collaborating with a dynamic team of faculty and counselors. Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (or eligibility) required
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Previous experience working with high school populations preferred
- Familiarity with administering psychoeducational assessments and writing comprehensive reports
- Strong understanding of IEP process, 504 planning, and data-driven interventions
- Excellent communication, consultation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team in a school setting
Responsibilities:
- Conduct cognitive, academic, and social-emotional evaluations for students
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and consult with teachers and parents
- Support students using evidence-based interventions to address learning and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing counseling as needed
- Collaborate in the development of a positive and inclusive school climate
