Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois
- Prior experience with elementary school-aged children strongly preferred
- Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational evaluations, developing IEPs, and providing counseling services
- Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and thorough documentation
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an integral member of multidisciplinary teams to assess student needs and recommend interventions
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for elementary caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide individual and group counseling for students as appropriate
- Participate in eligibility and review meetings, offering expertise on best practices and interventions
- Maintain organized records of services, assessments, and communications
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school climate
