Exciting opportunity for an experienced School Psychologist seeking a rewarding contract position serving high school students! Work onsite in a dynamic educational environment near Elgin, IL, supporting a caseload of approximately 30 students. The position runs from August 10, 2026 through May 14, 2027, with consistent hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Illinois School Psychologist licensure required
- Prior experience providing psychological services in a school setting, preferably at the high school level
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop and monitor IEPs, and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
- Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments
- Must be able and willing to work onsite for the duration of the contract
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for high school students
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and families
- Provide direct and indirect interventions, including counseling, skill-building, and crisis management
- Support development and implementation of positive behavioral interventions and academic support plans
- Assist in data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation of student outcomes
- Serve as a valuable resource in fostering mental health awareness and social-emotional learning
