Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology required
- Minimum two years of school psychology internship experience, or equivalent education, training, and experience
- Current state certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong proficiency in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Skilled in both individual and group counseling with diverse student populations
- Experience collaborating with school teams, families, and community agencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Physical capability to perform essential duties, with the ability to use necessary equipment and technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychoeducational evaluations for special education eligibility, including administering standardized assessments and preparing detailed reports
- Provide counseling for students individually and in groups to promote mental health and positive behavior
- Observe and evaluate student behavior, analyze school and medical records, and document findings
- Consult and collaborate closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and external professionals to address student needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs
- Coordinate and provide crisis intervention and management at school and district levels
- Facilitate ongoing professional development and support for educators and families
- Complete required records and documentation, including Medicaid reimbursement forms
