Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in school psychology required
- Minimum two years as a school psychologist intern or equivalent combination of education and training
- State certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong background in psychoeducational testing, interpretation, and reporting
- Deep understanding of special education eligibility processes and IEP development
- Skilled in collaboration with educators, families, and outside agencies
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, including crisis intervention
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, scoring, and reporting
- Deliver individual and group counseling and other mental health services to students
- Consult with and assist teachers, parents, and administrators in academic and behavioral interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary and Student Assessment Teams; contribute to IEP development
- Coordinate and provide crisis intervention across school and district as needed
- Maintain current and accurate documentation, Medicaid forms, and psychological reports
- Lead or contribute to professional development sessions for teachers and parents
- Stay abreast of best practices, laws, and innovations in the field
