Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology
- State certification as a School Psychologist
- Minimum of two years of experience, including internship, in a school-based setting
- Strong analytical and observational skills for psychoeducational assessments
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication for reporting, counseling, and consultation
- Ability to operate computers and standard office equipment
- Physical capacity for mostly sedentary work with some movement, occasional lifting up to 10 pounds
- Capacity to work well under pressure, adapt to urgent situations, and interface professionally with all school community members
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, score assessments, and prepare detailed reports
- Communicate findings and recommendations to parents, teachers, and students
- Observe and analyze student behavior; consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student learning and well-being
- Provide mental health counseling (individual and group)
- Participate in student assessment teams, IEP development, and multidisciplinary meetings
- Coordinate and deliver crisis intervention and management programs
- Collaborate with external agencies for holistic student support
- Deliver in-service training for school staff and parents
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and organizational policies
