The focus is on providing First Step Transition behavioral intervention services, supporting social-emotional development, and fostering positive classroom behaviors that build a solid foundation for future academic success.
Key Qualifications:
- Credentialed and eligible to practice as a School Psychologist.
- Experience in early childhood or Pre-K settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies, especially for early learners.
- Skilled in progress monitoring, teacher consultation, and family engagement.
- Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive evaluations.
- Committed to supporting students with unique needs in a special education preschool environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the First Step Transition program, providing behavioral coaching and early intervention for Pre-K students.
- Collaborate with teachers and caregivers to support school readiness and positive transitions.
- Monitor student progress, deliver behavioral consultations, and provide feedback to families.
- Participate in two-day student evaluations with a full assessment team.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 70 students, including conducting preschool evaluations and transition activities.
