Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the next generation of learners with a focus on Pre-K students. This role centers on providing on-site behavioral intervention, transition services, and assessments for early childhood students, ensuring their readiness for the classroom. The primary focus will be implementing the First Step Transition program, collaborating with multidisciplinary staff, and offering comprehensive support to students and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide First Step Transition behavioral interventions that foster school readiness, social-emotional growth, and positive classroom behaviors for Pre-K students.
- Serve as a behavioral coach and consultant for teachers, facilitating progress monitoring and collaborating closely with families throughout the transition process.
- Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations for preschoolers alongside professionals in psychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, autism consulting, and nursing.
- Conduct comprehensive preschool evaluations to support appropriate placement and individualized planning.
- Guide and support children and parents during two-day testing sessions, ensuring comfort and understanding as families navigate the school entry process.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 70 Pre-K students, providing individualized and group-based supports.
- Collaborate effectively with school staff and caregivers to promote successful transitions for First Step Transition students entering the educational setting.
- Maintain clear documentation and communicate progress to all stakeholders.

- Valid School Psychologist license and credentials (or eligibility) required.
- Experience providing behavioral intervention, assessment, and consultation for early childhood or Pre-K students in a school setting.

- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, meeting the unique needs of diverse learners.
- On-site presence required (No VOCO or remote options).
