Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated School Psychologist. This full-time role, requiring 37.5 hours per week, begins August 17th, 2026, and continues through June 3rd, 2027. You’ll be instrumental in offering comprehensive psychological services for students in an educational setting near Ellerbe, NC.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active School Psychologist credential or ability to obtain relevant licensure for the assignment.
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Previous experience in K-12 schools is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of evaluation methods, intervention strategies, and special education processes.
- Skilled in collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- High level of compassion and cultural sensitivity.
- Willingness to work exclusively on-site; this opportunity is not open to virtual services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for support planning.
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Deliver individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices.
- Work with teachers, staff, and families to implement effective behavioral and academic interventions.
- Provide crisis intervention, consultation, and recommendations to promote student well-being.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines regarding psychological and special services.
