School Psychologist in Ellicott City, MD
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students in the Baltimore area as a School Psychologist on a contract assignment for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is set to begin on August 31, 2026, and continue through June 17, 2027, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. The school assignments and specific caseload, including age group details, will be determined following credentialing. You'll collaborate on-site with faculty, students, and parents, assisting with assessments and interventions that foster student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current state certification or licensure for Maryland
- Experience working within school settings as a School Psychologist
- Ability to fulfill time-sensitive credentialing requirements including compliance with House Bill 486 (district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in administering evaluations, developing IEPs, and consulting with educators and families
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for collaborative, multidisciplinary environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for use in intervention planning
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist in the development of educational and behavioral interventions
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling for students as needed
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families to support student well-being and academic progress
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines in practice
