School Psychologist - Englewood, CO
Step into a rewarding contract role designed for passionate School Psychologists who excel in direct student support and collaborative teamwork. This position is based entirely onsite and spans a full academic year, from July 31, 2026, through May 26, 2027. Assignments will be tailored based on availability, offering the chance to work with students in early childhood through high school. Caseload and setting are based on assignment; you will be part of a dynamic educational team supporting special education students in a variety of ways.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
- Documented prior experience in a school setting
- Expertise in student assessment, crisis intervention, and positive behavioral supports
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with a commitment to professional growth and ethical practice
- Proficiency with computer technology and digital documentation
- Background check and fingerprint clearance required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual, group, and system-level interventions for academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Provide direct counseling and implement IEP-driven mental health goals
- Collaborate with families, educators, and community agencies to coordinate support for students
- Conduct comprehensive cognitive, behavioral, and adaptive assessments; write evaluative and progress reports
- Contribute to crisis management and threat assessment, including safety planning and follow-up
- Lead and participate in IEP, MTSS, and behavioral health meetings, and offer psychoeducation for staff and families
- Guide and support general education interventions and behavioral skill training
