Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or ability to obtain school psychologist credential
- Previous experience in school settings, providing psychological services to children and adolescents
- Proficient in conducting psychoeducational assessments and creating individualized educational recommendations
- Effective communicator comfortable working with diverse teams, students, and families
- Knowledge of RTI/MTSS framework and special education laws
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students’ cognitive, academic, behavioral, and socio-emotional needs
- Interpret assessment results and provide actionable recommendations for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and family members to address student needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to eligibility, intervention, and transition planning
- Provide support for school-wide positive behavior and mental health initiatives
- Maintain thorough documentation of services provided
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and state and federal regulations
