Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist in Florida (or eligibility for reciprocity)
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, parents, and students
- Ability to conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and write clear, actionable reports
- Compassionate approach to supporting diverse learners and their families
- Organization and adaptability for managing multiple student cases and documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments for students as needed
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in student intervention teams and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students
- Consult with parents and teachers on student needs, learning barriers, and behavioral strategies
