Step into a vital role supporting students across multiple campuses as a School Psychologist/Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. This contract position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, and involves working itinerantly between five schools, mostly elementary, with some middle school responsibilities. You’ll collaborate with educators and families near Fort Worth, TX, providing essential services and evaluations, including support for students with autism (AU), emotional disturbance (ED), and other health impairments (OHI/ADHD). Your expert assessments and recommendations will help create more effective learning environments for students in need.
Key Qualifications:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist Credential from the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Experience with functional behavior assessments (FBAs/BIPs), ADHD assessments, and direct student services
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills and previous school-based experience are highly valued
- Ability to travel between assigned campuses (itinerant role)
- Must successfully complete or verify fingerprinting with the TEA (allow up to 10 business days for processing)
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations for students referred for AU, ED, and OHI
- Delivering direct services and behavior interventions in accordance with student IEPs
- Collaborating with special education teams, teachers, parents, and administrators
- Supporting interventions and developing strategies based on assessment outcomes
- Managing a dynamic caseload with a focus on elementary-aged children, with some middle school assignments
