Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Active School Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure in Texas
- Strong foundation in conducting psychoeducational assessments and functional behavior assessments
- Experience with IEP development, compliance, and participation in ARD meetings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability in working with diverse student populations and managing multiple priorities
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting preferred
Responsibilities:
- Administer, interpret, and report on psychological and behavioral assessments for students across grade levels
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop, implement, and review IEPs and 504 plans
- Provide direct counseling support, crisis intervention, and consultation to students as needed
- Support teachers and staff with strategies to promote a positive learning environment and address behavioral concerns
- Serve as a resource to families, assisting with referrals to community resources and facilitating ongoing parent-school communication
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines
