School Psychologist | Cheney, Washington
Make an impact by supporting students’ academic and emotional growth in this contract opportunity for an experienced School Psychologist. Positioned near Cheney, WA, this role partners with educational teams to evaluate, support, and help guide students and staff toward greater school success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible certification as a School Psychologist in Washington
- Experience with psychoeducational assessments, developing IEPs, and providing crisis intervention or counseling
- Familiarity with a variety of testing tools and interventions
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators
- Understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and special education law
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments for referred students
- Interpret assessment data and write clear, actionable reports
- Collaborate during multidisciplinary team meetings, helping to determine eligibility for special education services
- Develop and assist with implementation of IEPs, providing recommendations and strategies for academic and behavioral success
- Offer individual and group counseling when necessary
- Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and outside agencies to cultivate supportive educational environments
- Participate in crisis intervention and response as needed
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
