Make an impact supporting students across a PreK–8 environment as a dedicated professional working onsite in a vibrant school setting. This full-time contract opportunity (35–37.5 hours per week) offers the chance to contribute directly to student well-being through assessment, consultation, and intervention, while collaborating with teachers, families, and school staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience working with students across a variety of grade levels preferred
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, educators, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological services to students in PreK–8, including evaluations, counseling, and crisis intervention
- Conduct assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services and recommend appropriate interventions
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement strategies that promote student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the creation of intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
