School Psychologist Near Chicago Heights, IL
Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students’ academic, emotional, and social growth during the 26-27 school year. This contract opportunity focuses on providing expert psychological services to students in grades PreK-8 within an educational setting close to Glenwood, IL.
As a valued school psychologist, you’ll be instrumental in assessing student needs, facilitating intervention plans, and collaborating closely with educators and families to foster a nurturing environment. With a full-time schedule of 35-37 hours per week, you’ll play a vital role throughout the school year.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as a School Psychologist, meeting all Illinois state requirements
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (PreK-8) preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and consultation
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with educational planning and special education processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for students
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and indirect psychological services to support student success
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to provide guidance and support
- Support positive, inclusive practices within the school community
Work Schedule:
- Full-time; 35-37 hours/week, beginning on August 18th until June 4th
- Standard hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
