In this contract position, you’ll collaborate with educational diagnosticians, social workers, and school administrators to provide vital psychoeducational assessments focused on discipline requests and special education eligibility. Key Qualifications:
- Valid NASP certification or LSSP credential from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists
- Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessments, special education eligibility, and IDEA compliance
- Experience interpreting assessment data and writing detailed evaluation reports
- Exceptional communication skills for clear, professional delivery of assessment results to parents, educators, and teams
- Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with colleagues across disciplines
- Strong organizational and time-management skills needed to maintain evaluation compliance and thorough documentation
- Bilingual candidates are a plus!
- Must pass a tech screen prior to engagement
- Able to complete district-specific background check and fingerprinting requirements
Your Responsibilities:
- Serve as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team to identify and address student needs across PK-12 campuses
- Select, administer, score, and interpret assessments; prepare reports within required timelines
- Provide comprehensive information and referrals for students and families to community resources
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure program accountability
- Engage with school personnel and families, recommending and implementing strategies to support student success
- Participate in in-service training sessions and help explain the assessment process to all stakeholders
