Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification (DOE Cert) is mandatory
- Background as a School Psychologist with strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
- Ability to complete district-specific credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting
- Open to full-time (35 hours per week), with a schedule aligned to the school’s calendar
- Familiarity working with students of various age groups and adapting to changing caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments of students
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support social-emotional learning and offer crisis intervention
- Advise staff and parents on behavior management and inclusive classroom strategies
- Document services delivered and maintain compliance with state and district guidelines
