School Psychologist - Hartford, Connecticut

As a vital member of the school community, you’ll work collaboratively with students, teachers, counselors, and families to create positive learning environments and champion student success. Your expertise in assessments, counseling, and intervention will directly contribute to the well-being and achievement of students during a transformative period in their lives.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working with high school populations preferred
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in MTSS/RTI processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for student planning
- Provide individual and group counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Consult with teachers and parents to develop proactive interventions and support strategies
- Monitor student progress and contribute to student success teams
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Deliver training or workshops for staff and families on relevant psychological and educational topics
The role is contract-based, spanning the entire 2026/27 school year at 35 hours per week, with a focus on supporting a high school-level caseload.
