School Psychologist - Hayes, VA
Make a meaningful impact every day in a supportive educational environment as a full-time School Psychologist. In this contract position, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals to champion student well-being and achievement. Your work will serve schools in the Gloucester area on a Monday–Friday schedule, with opportunities for an immediate start or for the 2026–2027 school year.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting psychoeducational evaluations and comprehensive assessments for students.
- Interpreting assessment results and preparing detailed evaluation reports.
- Participating actively in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers.
- Providing consultation for academic, behavioral, and mental health interventions.
- Supporting MTSS/RTI initiatives using data-driven practices.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Fostering positive learning environments that encourage student success.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- A Master’s, Ed.S., or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- An active Virginia School Psychologist license/certification or eligibility to obtain one before your start date.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and consultation skills.
- The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Previous school-based experience is a plus, but highly motivated new graduates are welcome to apply.
