This contract opportunity near Hockessin, DE, offers the chance to work closely with students, staff, and families, providing valuable services within a collaborative school environment.
As a school psychologist, you’ll play a crucial role in fostering students' academic, social, and emotional growth. This position is scheduled to start as soon as possible and will continue through early June 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with a 35-hour workweek.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Delaware School Psychologist License (must be current)
- Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention skills
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Proficient in collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret data
- High level of professionalism, adaptability, and communication skills
- Willingness to complete required $85 CBC fingerprinting (candidate responsibility)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological services to elementary students
- Perform assessments, report writing, and participate in eligibility meetings
- Develop and implement individualized educational recommendations
- Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff to address student needs
- Support school-wide initiatives for positive behavior and emotional wellness
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
