What You’ll Need:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology
- At least two years of experience as a school psychologist intern or equivalent training and experience
- State certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong data analysis, evaluation, and assessment skills
- Comfort in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
- Excellent consultation, collaboration, and communication skills
- Technological proficiency to effectively use computers, phones, and related equipment
- Physical ability to perform routine office tasks and sit or stand for extended periods
- Capability to handle stress and meet tight deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational and behavioral assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
- Prepare detailed, insightful evaluation reports and share results with parents and teachers
- Provide mental health services and counseling (individual and group) to students
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, parents, and external agencies
- Participate in multidisciplinary assessment and placement teams
- Contribute to IEP development and crisis intervention efforts at both school and district levels
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with laws, best practices, and innovations
- Maintain accurate documentation and records, including those for Medicaid reimbursement
