This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule during the academic year, working with a diverse group of students and collaborating closely with educators, administrators, and families.

Desired Background and Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology required
  • Two years of school psychologist internship experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current state certification as a School Psychologist (must be eligible prior to start)
  • Strong background in psychoeducational and behavioral assessments, including ability and achievement testing
  • Proficient in providing individual and group counseling to students
  • Demonstrated skill in consulting with school teams, families, and community agencies
  • Exceptional organizational abilities for managing documentation and confidential records
  • Able to operate computers and standard office equipment efficiently
  • Adept at communicating clearly, with appropriate written and verbal presentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services
  • Administer, score, and report on a variety of psychological tests and behavioral assessments
  • Communicate results and recommendations effectively to parents, teachers, and school teams
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings and IEP development processes
  • Provide mental health services, crisis intervention, and support for students and staff
  • Advise on evidence-based strategies to promote positive student behavior and learning environments
  • Coordinate collaboration with outside mental health and social service organizations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, ethical guidelines, and best practices in school psychology
  • Complete documentation for Medicaid reimbursement and official reporting
