Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist
- Current School Psychologist credential issued by the board of examiners of psychologists
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and report writing abilities
- Ability to onboard promptly, including fingerprinting and registry search
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments—cognitive, behavioral, social/emotional, and academic
- Develop, interpret, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in cooperation with IEP teams
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to devise intervention strategies
- Provide crisis intervention and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Advocate for students' needs and support their social-emotional development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
