Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois School Psychologist licensure required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) is mandatory
- Previous school-based or relevant experience preferred
- Exceptional skills in assessment, counseling, and consultation
- Strong communication abilities with students, staff, and parents
- Collaborative attitude and flexible approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students
- Work closely with educational teams to design and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs)
- Offer counseling to students individually and in groups on academic, social, and emotional issues
- Participate in meetings with teachers, administrators, and families to review student progress and strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Serve as a resource for behavioral interventions and crisis prevention
- Support students across a varied caseload, tailored to your skill set and preference
