School Psychologist - Kannapolis, NC
A unique opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist interested in supporting students across K-12 in a contract position beginning as soon as possible, ideally starting July 31st. This role is situated near Kannapolis, NC, and is open to both part-time and full-time candidates, offering flexibility for the right professional. With a focus on an Exceptional Children (EC) caseload of approximately 105 students, you’ll play a meaningful part in the school community and have the chance to work in a hybrid setting if desired.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid credentials as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong understanding of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports)
- Confident in managing evaluation testing, referrals, and conducting IEP meetings
- Skilled in classroom observations and collaborative problem-solving
- Excellent communication and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse K-12 caseload (roughly 105 EC students)
- Lead MTSS processes and participate in intervention planning
- Conduct assessments, testing, and prepare evaluation reports as needed
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, supporting goal development and progress monitoring
- Serve as a resource on referrals and eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families
- Perform classroom observations and consult with teaching staff
- Adapt to a hybrid or on-site work arrangement as preferred
