Make a difference in the lives of students by providing crucial support across multiple elementary and middle school campuses. This contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated School Psychologists seeking a dynamic, hands-on role within a supportive educational environment. Based on-site, you will serve as an itinerant specialist traveling between five schools, influencing a variety of young learners.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist Credential issued by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
- Ability to complete or verify fingerprints through the TEA promptly (allow up to 10 business days for results)
- Strong collaborative skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, direct services, and consultation for students primarily at the elementary level, with some middle school assignments
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations addressing AU (Autism), ED (Emotional Disturbance), and OHI (Other Health Impairment) including ADHD assessments
- Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed
- Support and consult with teachers, families, and staff to enhance student success
- Navigate multiple campuses, ensuring timely and effective intervention across varying school settings
This contract position begins August 10, 2026 and continues through May 21, 2027, requiring a commitment of 35 hours per week. You’ll be immersed in a school community where your expertise will have a lasting impact on students’ daily lives and growth.
