Step into a highly impactful role as a school psychologist, supporting several schools in the Fort Worth area. This contract position is a fantastic opportunity for professionals committed to helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Working on-site across five campuses, you’ll primarily serve elementary-aged children, with some involvement at the middle school level. Your expertise will support students with needs related to Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairments (OHI), including ADHD. Responsibilities span evaluating students, conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), creating and implementing Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs), and providing direct services.
Key Qualifications:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist Credential from the Board of Examiners of Psychologist
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are highly valued
- Familiarity with assessment and intervention for AU, ED, OHI, and ADHD
- Must complete or verify fingerprinting through the Texas Education Agency (TEA)—please allow up to 10 business days for credentialing
- Flexibility to travel between multiple campuses each week
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to determine appropriate educational interventions
- Deliver direct psychological services aligned with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement effective FBAs and BIPs
- Act as a resource for strategies supporting students’ behavioral and social-emotional well-being
- Maintain clear communication with families and staff across assigned schools
This fulfilling assignment commits you to a 35-hour workweek from August to May. You’ll be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team providing essential support in a diverse, engaging environment.
