This contract position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a 35-hour work week and an onsite-only setting. You will be itinerant between five schools, primarily focusing on elementary grades while collaborating on some middle school caseloads.
In this role, you'll conduct evaluations and deliver services related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairments (OHI), including ADHD assessments, direct support, and developing Functional Behavioral Assessments/Behavior Intervention Plans (FBAs/BIPs).
Desired Qualifications:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist credential from the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Experience delivering school-based psychological services
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are an asset
- Familiarity supporting AU, ED, OHI/ADHD populations
- Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention planning capabilities
- Able to commute to campuses within the assigned region and work fully onsite
- Fingerprinting must be completed or verified through the TEA (processing time up to 10 business days)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational and functional behavior assessments
- Provide direct and consultative psychological services to students
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families regarding student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans
- Facilitate and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Document services and reports professionally and within timelines
- Adapt interventions to support both elementary and middle school students
