Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in School Psychology
- Current School Psychologist license for the state of Georgia
- Teaching Certification through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GA PSC)
- Comprehensive knowledge of best practices for assessment, intervention strategies, and counseling in educational settings
- Strong communication and consultation skills for working alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability to manage varying caseloads and support students from diverse backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal assessments and evaluations of students to determine eligibility for special education services and to identify learning, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Offer direct and consultative support to students, families, and staff, including counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Help foster positive school climates and promote mental health awareness throughout the educational community
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to state and district guidelines
