This position runs from July 30th through June 2nd, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. As a valued member of the elementary school community, you will serve as an integral part of the problem-solving process, contribute to the Student Intervention and Building Crisis Teams, and ensure all duties associated with IEP evaluations and services are delivered with expertise and compassion.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold an active certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working in an elementary school setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, assessment tools, and special education compliance
- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with families, staff, and administrators
- Skilled in crisis intervention and participation in problem-solving or intervention teams
- Adaptable, self-motivated, and organized in managing your daily responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations for students
- Support IEP meetings, preparing detailed reports and recommendations
- Collaborate with the Student Intervention and Building Crisis Teams to provide timely support
- Implement effective interventions and support plans for students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Serve as a resource for staff and families to promote students’ educational success
